Posted on July 1, 2016July 1, 2016 by philipp

Due to more rain in the Netherlands, only two of the scheduled four games in the Dutch Hoofdklasse were played on Thursday evening. The De Glaskoning Twins downed Pickles UVV by a score of 14-7 in six innings. Five runs in the third and seven in the fifth secured the win for the Twins. Bart Hanegraaf and Jeffrey Arends each scored three times. Berry van Donselaar doubled, scored twice and drove in two. Brendan Schoemaker pitched five innings for the win. Kevin van Veen took the loss.

Meanwhile Kinheim won the inner-city duel against DSS 8-0. Tom Stuifbergen and four relievers kept DSS to five hits and a walk in nine scoreless frames. Jasper Keijzer crossed the plate two times. Julio Hernandez had two RBI. Timo van Lingen conceded 11 hits, eight runs and two base on balls in three innings to take the loss.

The matchups between Curacao Neptunus and the Vaessen Pioniers, as well as between L&D Amsterdam and HCAW got postponed from Thursday to Friday.
