Draci Brno has claimed the title at the Federations Cup in Brno, Czech Republic. They shut out the Sölvesborg Firehawks 7-0 in the final on Sunday afternoon at MBS Stadium. Five runs in the fourth blew the score open. With the victory the Czech Baseball Association (CBA) secures a second spot in the CEB Cup.

Draci’s pitching ace laid the ground work with a complete game shutout. Jason Jarvis allowed just three hits and two walks in nine scoreless frames, striking out seven.

On offense Brno worked quickly. A sac fly by Martin Schneider gave them the lead in the third. RBI singles by Arnost Dubovy, Adam Hajtmar and Schneider, as well as a RBI double by Tomas Polansky highlighted the rally in the fourth. A RBI groundout by Pavel Budsky added a seventh run in the seventh.

Parker Talbert took the loss, giving up seven hits, seven runs (6 ER) and three base on balls in eight innings.
