Posted on June 24, 2016 by philipp

Only two of four games were played in the Dutch Hoofdklasse on Thursday evening. De Glaskoning Twins shut out DSS 2-0 as Brendan Schoemaker, Ben van Nuffel and Matt Latta kept the team from Haarlem to four hits and five walks in nine scoreless innings. Runs in the fourth and the seventh made the difference. Timo van Lingen got charged with the loss.

In the second game Curacao Neptunus downed HCAW 10-1. Gianison Boekhoudt went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Rotterdam scored six runs in the last three frames to blow the score open. Diegomar Markwell allowed six hits, a run and three walks in seven innings to pick up the win. Ian Delamarre conceded eight hits, four runs and two base on balls in five frames to take the loss.

The games between Pickles UVV and L&D Amsterdam, as well as Vaessen Pioniers and Kinheim were rained out and got postponed to Friday evening at 7.30pm. Tuesday’s rainout between Rotterdam and Amsterdam will be made up next Tuesday.
