Unipol Bologna has announced that they have replaced American pitcher Scott Patterson with Australian hurler Ryan Searle. The 27-year-old right-hander was released from the CPBL club Lamigo Monkeys. He also has played in affiliated Minor League ball, Australia and in Japan. In the US he was a member of the Chicago Cubs organization. Patterson returned to the United States due to personal reasons.
