Rimini blew by Parma 11-4 on Thursday evening in the Italian Baseball League. Jairo Ramos hit a grand slam in the first to lead the Pirates early on. Former Parma player Stefano Desimoni and Daniel Mayora scored three runs apiece. Lorenzo Maestri drove in two for Parma.
On the mound Alexis Candelario struck out eight in five solid innings for the win. Carlos Teran, Jose Escalona and Luca Di Raffaele closed it out. Jose Sanchez was charged with the loss, surrendering six hits, seven runs and five walks in four frames.
