In the Dutch Hoofdklasse Orlando Yntema highlighted weekend play with his third no-hitter in the Dutch Hoofdklasse. On Saturday he issued just three walks in seven otherwise flawless innings in an 11-0 mercy rule shortened victory of Curacao Neptunus Rotterdam over the Vaessen Pioniers in Hoofddorp. He struck out five and needed just 86 pitches to cruise through seven frames. His battery mate Dashenko Ricardo led the way on offense by going 5-for-5 with a home run and four RBI. Dwayne Kemp also went deep.
For Curacao Neptunus it was the middle win in a three-game sweep against the Pioniers. Also L&D Amsterdam won all three games this weekend, defeating HCAW. De Glaskoning Twins won two of three against Pickles UVV. Kinheim rebounded from Thursday’s loss to DSS to win two of three against the city rival.
