Two games were played in the German Baseball-Bundesliga on Friday. The Mainz Athletics defeated the Munich-Haar Disciples 2-1, walking off with the victory in the bottom of the ninth. The winning runs scored due to an error. The Disciples had led for the first eight innings after a solo home run by Christoph Ziegler and strong pitching of Kevin Trisl.
In the second match the Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg beat the Heidenheim Heidekoepfe 10-2. Mike Bolsenbroek struck out 14 batters in seven scoreless innings. Bong Kyu Kang and Marcel Jimenez combined to score five of the ten runs. Shawn Larry hit a solo home run and drove in both runs for the Heidekoepfe.
