Posted on February 15, 2016February 15, 2016 by philipp

The Cologne Cardinals have announced more additions to their roster for the 2016 season. After Alex Carter and Jack Shannon they added another pitcher and two infielders. 23-year-old right-hander Mitchell Renz has been in Cologne since the end of the 2015 season. The graduate in Sports management of Centenary College in New Jersey will be playing for the German Baseball-Bundesliga squad of the Cards and is going to coach the Juniors.

Fellow 23-year-old Taylor Ratliff is going to coach the third-division team of Cologne besides playing in the Baseball-Bundesliga. He is a second baseman and center fielder who played two years with the Hillsboro Hops in affiliated minor league ball. He had been drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2013. The last acquisition for now will be infielder Kazusa Katayama. He is 22 years old and from Fukuoka, Japan.
