Posted on January 22, 2016January 22, 2016 by philipp

26-year-old right-handed pitcher Juan Carlos Sulbaran has received a non-roster invitation to Major League Spring Training of the St. Louis Cardinals. He had signed a minor league contract with the Cards in December. He is among 22 players to get an invite to Spring Training even though they are not on the 40-man roster. In Spring Training he gets an opportunity to play in Grapefruit League games and can impress the coaches while competing against Major League stars. The Dutch national teamer will start into his eighth minor league season in April. The past four seasons he was a member of the Kansas City Royals organization, reaching Triple-A in 2015. With Omaha he had an ERA of 6.17 in eight starts after having an ERA of 4.80 in Double-A in 20 games (15 starts).
