The Texas Rangers avoid an arbitration hearing with Dutch infielder Jurickson Profar. They agreed on a one-year contract over $605,000 for the 2016 season. Profar, who missed most of the past two years due to an injury, is expected to start the year in the Minors. He has been healthy since the end of 2015 and played in the Arizona Fall League to make up for the missed at-bats since his last plate appearance in the big leagues in September of 2013.
