Schedule for German Softball-Bundesliga released

Posted on January 13, 2016January 13, 2016 by philipp

With the subscription of eight teams the German Softball-Bundesliga returns to a two-division format for the first time in three years in the 2016 season. Split into north and south the regular season starts on April 16 and ends in mid-August.

At the end of August the playoffs start, which now also include quarterfinals for the teams ranked second and third in the standings. The winners of each division automatically qualify for the semi-finals.

In the north defending champion Wesseling Vermins, Neunkirchen Nightmares, Hamburg Knights and Deutschlandpokal champion Mannheim Tornados form a strong group. In the south the Karlsruhe Cougars, Haar Disciples, Freising Grizzlies and the promoted Stuttgart Reds will be competing for the playoff spots.
