On Saturday the two Nettuno based club of the Italian Baseball League announced that they will join forces and form a combined team to compete in the upcoming season of the IBL. Sporting director is going to be Gianluca Faraone. Since Mastiff had dropped out of the IBL in March 2014 two teams from Nettuno played in the top division of Italian Baseball. It ends a two-year rift in Nettuno baseball and the new reunited team hopes to return to the top of the IBL. Meanwhile according to an article by Baseball.it the IBL will be reduced from 8 to 7 teams and will change the format, which had the eight teams play in two divisions.
