Posted on February 11, 2009 by philipp

The 2008 Austrian champion MOSQUITO ATHLETICS ATTNANG-PUCHHEIM announced on their website last weekend that right-handed pitcher Carter Clements will leave the club for the SCHAUMBURG FLYERS of the independent Northern League. The 22-year-old from Eustis, Florida had a perfect 7-0 record with an ERA of 0.48 in seven starts during the regular season of the 2008 Austrian Baseball League season. He struck out 71 batters in 56 innings, while walking just two. Clements joined the club for the second half of the year after graduating from Saint Leo University in Florida. There he was the number one starter in the rotation with a 6-4 record and an ERA of 4.18 in his senior year.
