Specciasol Bussolengo is the new Italian Softball League Champion. In the 2015 Italian Softball Series they defeated Fiorini Forli 3-2 in the best-of-five series. The last three games were broadcasted live on YouTube by FIBS.

Bussolengo edged out Forli 2-1 in the decisive fifth match of the series on Sunday. A two-run single by Madison O’Brien in the top of the sixth proved to be the difference maker. Fiorini cut the deficit to a run in the bottom of the seventh and loaded the bases, but Haylie Wagner recovered and got her eighth strikeout of the game to end the contest. Blaire Luna struck out 14, but still ended up with the loss.

Both teams had split the first four games of the series with Forli winning games two and three, Bussolengo prevailing in games one and four ahead of the thrilling fifth match.
