The Therwil Flyers avoided a sweep in the Swiss Nationalliga A finals this weekend, defeating the Zurich Barracudas on Saturday 11-5. A six-run sixth proved to be the difference in the contest, as the defending champion cut the best-of-five series to 1-2. Lucas Hagberg and Jack Shannon hit home runs and drove in six runs combined. Hide Oshima pitched five innings for the win. Andreas Ruesch took the loss. Game four and five if needed will be played next weekend with the fourth match being played in Zurich.
