Defending champion Stockholm Monarchs has a 2-0 lead over the Sölvesborg Firehawks after the first two games of the finals in the Swedish Elitserien. On Saturday Stockholm broke a 2-2 tie in the top of the eighth and sealed a 6-2 win with three runs in the ninth. Dylan Driscoll and Peter Johannessen scored twice. Driscoll also pitched two innings of scoreless relief for the save. Jakob Claesson earned the win. Simon Andersson took the loss.

In the second game on Sunday Stockholm erased an early 0-3 deficit by scoring all eight runs between the fourth and the seventh in an 8-6 win over the Firehawks. Sölvesborg initiated a rally in the bottom of the ninth, but aside from three runs it was too little too late. Magnus Pilegard drove in two and Matt Merrifield scored twice for Stockholm. Zachary Manley had four hits, Kim Hällsten three RBI for the Firehawks.
