Czech Finals: Draci Brno, Kotlarka Prague tied after 2 Games

In the Czech Extraleague finals Draci Brno and Kotlarka Prague are tied 1-1 after the first two games of the best-of-five series. Kotlarka defeated Petr Minarik and Draci 8-5 on Saturday. Prague took a quick 4-0 lead midway through the second and continued to score afterwards to seal the win. Mitchell Nilsson went deep for Kotlarka. Marek Cervenka pitched 7 1/3 innings for the win. Martin Schneider homered for Brno.

In game two on Sunday, Draci won 8-3. A five-run fifth inning broke a 1-1 tie and handed the defending champion the victory. Alexander Derhak drove in two. Martin Schneider struck out seven in 7 1/3 innings for the win. Marek Minarik got charged with the loss. Martin Cervenka hit a solo home run for Prague.

Games three and four will be played as doubleheader next Saturday in Prague. A potential fifth game would be played on Sunday in Brno.
