Besides the Hoofdklasse All-Star Game, Utrecht last Sunday also hosted the Golden League Softball All-Star Game. Team Red defeated Team Blue 5-2 in seven innings. Team Red scored three times in the first to give its pitching staff an early lead. Rebecca Soumeru started for Red, Eva Voortman for Blue. Dagmar Bloeming, who pitched the majority of the season in the National Pro Fastpitch League in the US, closed it out with three strikeouts in two scoreless innings. Damishah Charles drove in two. The Golden League Softball concludes the regular season this upcoming weekend. Oolders Omaco Sparks Haarlem (31-3) and FysioExpert Olympia Haarlem (28-6) are currently in one and two in the standings.
