Czech Playoffs: Draci Brno, Kotlarka Prague reach Finals

Draci Brno and Kotlarka Prague have reached the finals of the Czech Extraleague. Kotlarka completed a three-game sweep over Arrows Ostrava with a 9-4 win in game three on Saturday. Petr Sila scored three times. Martin Cervenka pitched in and out of trouble en route to the win. Kotlarka scored five runs in the seventh to turn a 3-1 lead into a lopsided advantage.

Draci defeated Technika Brno 6-3 and 9-4 to win their best-of-five series 3-1. Premek Chroust homered twice and drove in four in game three. Petr Minarik went 8 2/3 innings for the win. Draci led 6-1 entering the bottom of the ninth, when Technika started a rally. In the decisive game four Draci scored six runs combined in the fourth and fifth to seal the win.

The final series starts on Saturday afternoon in Brno.
