IBL Semis: San Marino crushes Padua, Rimini beats Bologna

The semi-final round robin in the Italian Baseball League continued on Friday evening with two games. T&A San Marino crushed Tommasin Padua 17-1, rebounding from their 15-inning loss on Thursday. Jack Santora and Mario Chiarini went deep for San Marino. Chiarini finished with seven RBI. Wuillians Vasquez collected four hits. Junior Oberto picked up the win. Enrico Crepaldi got charged with the loss.

In the second game ASD Rimini defeated Unipol Bologna 6-3, handing the reigning champion its second loss of the season. Rimini took a quick lead in the second and added three insurance runs in the seventh, when Bologna cut the deficit to 2-3. Stefano Desimoni had three hits, a run and a RBI for the Pirates. Carlos Richetti pitched six solid innings for the win. Riccardo De Santis took the loss.
