IBL Semis: Bologna with 2nd Win, Rimini ties Series vs San Marino

The semi-final round robin in the Italian Baseball League continued on Friday evening with two games. Unipol Bologna got its second win against Tommasin Padua with a 3-2 victory. A RBI single by Alex Sambucci in the bottom of the eighth broke a 2-2 tie to seal the win. Luca Panerati struck out five in 3 2/3 innings of scoreless relief for the win. Simone Bazzarani took the loss.

ASD Rimini scored all six of its runs in a 6-4 win over T&A San Marino in the first three innings. Giuseppe Mazzanti drove in two. Wuillians Vasquez went 3-for-4 with a home run for San Marino. Mike Parise went five innings, allowing four hits, two runs and two walks in five innings. Justin Berg got charged with the loss after two frames in his IBL debut.
