The Bonn Capitals announced on Friday that shortstop Eric Brenk will stay with the German Baseball-Bundesliga club at least through the 2017 season. He is after Wilson Lee, Bradley Roper-Hubbert, Daniel Lamb-Hunt and Maurice Wilhelm the fifth key player to be signed until at least 2016. Brenk came to Bonn this past offseason from the Bad Homburg Hornets. In September last year the American with German passport made his debut in the German National Team at the European Championship.
