The Austrian Baseball League is playing a competitive season, as all six teams remain separated by five games only in the standings just after the midway point of the regular season. This past weekend the Diving Ducks stunned the Vienna Wanderers with a two-game sweep to improve to 6-8. The Wanderers dropped to 8-8 and missed out on making up ground towards leader Dornbirn Indians. The Indians had to settle for the split against sixth-ranked Stock City Cubs. The Vienna Metrostars and the Athletics Attnang-Puchheim also shared wins.
