Surprise news from the Minor League. Tiago Da Silva has left the Toronto Blue Jays organization to join the Mexican club Delfines Del Carmen for the remainder of the 2015 season. The Brazilian with Italian passport cited family reasons for the decision according to Baseballmania.eu.

It’s a surprise since the right-hander just had been promoted to Double-A by the Blue Jays and impressed coaches and scouts of the organization. However his family comes first and he decided to return to Mexico, where he already played last year.

In other news about Italian National Team players in the American minors. Catcher Alberto Mineo of the Chicago Cubs is expected to be re-assigned due to less playing time with the High-A affiliate of the Cubs. According to Baseballmania.eu Single-A or short-season play are possible destinations.
