Triple Ball Balkan Championship 2015 from April 23 to 26

By Alex Gorrin

Snow pulled away from major landscapes a bit late this year, but just in time for the major holiday in Bulgaria in the past weekend: Orthodox Easter. Just as miraculously, in a matter of less than a fortnight, we will be able to attend another great celebration: the ‘first of its kind’ Triple Ball Balkan Championship in Sofia: April 23- 26, 2015.

The Triple Ball Balkan Championship in Sofia 2015 will include baseball, softball, and slowpitch competitions observed on three venues during April 23-26. The sporting celebration will include the national teams of Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Slovenia, and Romania with games set to begin late in the afternoon next Thursday (April 23, 2015). A full schedule is to be released soon, while important guests from the local authorities and international representatives of the governing baseball/softball federations are also expected to arrive. This sporting festivity should be the perfect opening for the 2015 season in Bulgaria.
