The British National Baseball League opened play on Sunday with three-game tournaments at Farnham Park and Grovehill Ballpark. The London Mets defeated the Bracknell Blazers and the Essex Arrows for a 2-0 start. The Herts Falcons edged out the South London Pirates and the Southampton Mustangs for a pair of one-run victories.
