BaseballoftballUK is making final preparations for the launch of Hit the Pitch, its new participation growth programme for baseball and softball.  There will be a formal launch event at 5.30 pm on Wednesday 1 April in Central London, preceded by regional events in Manchester, Guildford and Loughborough.

The launch of this new and comprehensive programme to grow participation in baseball and softball is a significant staging post in the work of BaseballSoftballUK, a call to arms for new players to get involved with our sports.

Hit the Pitch will be offered in Day, Team and League packages, with bespoke content and marketing for each of the seven target markets that have been identified: Companies, Higher Education, Further Education, Schools, Community Groups and Leisure Centres as well as existing clubs and leagues who may be looking to expand their current playing offer into a new team or a new local league.

BSUK Joint CEO John Boyd said: “Hit the Pitch sits at the very core of the vision of BaseballSoftballUK to see baseball and softball ‘Played in Every Park’.  It aims to introduce both baseball and softball to new audiences in a fun and engaging way, allowing new participants to feel confident and relaxed as they choose to make the sports part of their lives.  We hope that Hit the Pitch will allow people who may not yet know that they want to play baseball or softball to gain something new and fresh in their lives.”
