According to a report by Honkbalsite.com a selection of European players will play two exhibition games against Japan on Tuesday, March 10 and Wednesday March 11, 2015 at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo. The plans were presented during the Premier 12 press conference in Tokyo on Monday.
The team from Europe includes mainly players from the Netherlands and Italy, but apparently also from Germany, the Czech Republic and Spain. 28 players, a manager and six coaches will make up the European selection. Dutch national team manager Steve Janssen has been appointed as manager of the team.
European players, which are playing in Japan like Rick van den Hurk, Wladimir Balentien (if healthy) and Alessandro Maestri are expected to be on the selection.
