Marco Stoovelaar of Grand Slam News reports that third base Virginie Anneveld of Oolders Omaco Sparks Haarlem is currently in Kariya, Japan to try out for the Denso Softball Team. If she succeeds she will be playing professionally in Japan next year. The Dutch national teamer (86 appearances internationally) has won four Hoofdklasse titles in the Netherlands with Sparks Haarlem and before with the Tex Town Tigers. She made her Hoofdklasse debut at the age of 15. More information.
