The Czech Baseball Association announced the preparation phase and a preliminary roster for the U21 Baseball World Cup this week. 29 players have been selected by the coaching staff of Pavel Chadim, Richard Dvorak, Jan Jablonka and Michal Muller. The U21 squad will also be strengthened by six U23 players, which will be named later. In preparation for the inaugural U21 Baseball World Cup the Czech U21 team will face the British Senior National Team on September 10 at the Eagles Ballpark in Prague. In October training camps are planned for October 12, 25 and 26 in Brno, the latter two with exhibition games. Right before the tournament in Taiwan three more exhibition matches are planned on site.
