The Haar Disciples and coach Chris Dresel are parting ways the club announced on his website. The German Junior National Team head coach and scout for the Pittsburgh Pirates had been helping the Disciples during the recent German Baseball-Bundesliga season. They reached the quarterfinals, where they lost in four games to the new champion Solingen Alligators. Head coach Josh Petersen thanked him for his work. “Chris did a fantastic job and we’re very thankful for that.” However the club wants to go a different direction. “We have a concept and would like to use our limited financial funds purposely.”, says sport director Cedric Bassel.
