Rouen Huskies, Templiers Senart reach Semi-Finals in French Division I

Posted on August 6, 2014August 6, 2014 by philipp

The Rouen Huskies and the Templiers Senart swept their quarterfinals last weekend to reach the semi-finals in the French Division I.

Rouen defeated the Beaucaire Chevaliers 3-2 and 5-3 in two close games and will play against Paris UC in the next round. In the first match Dylan Gleeson scored the game-winner on an error in the bottom of the tenth. In game two a dropped flyball at short set up a four-run rally in the top of the eighth, which gave Rouen the victory.

Senart meanwhile prevailed against Stade Toulousain. Game one was ruled a forfeit and therefore a 9-0 win for the Templiers. In game two Senart won 6-2, scoring five runs in the first two frames en route to the victory. Ciro Silvino struck out 11 in eight strong innings. They are going to play against the Montpellier Barracudas.
