Astros Valencia beat Sevilla Red Sox to stay in Division de Honor

Posted on December 16, 2008 by philipp

The last decision in the 2008 European Baseball season was made on the field in Spain last weekend. The ASTROS VALENCIA defeated the SEVILLA RED SOX in games three and four to win the relegation series 3-1 and to remain in the Division de Honor. The ASTROS, which lost all 32 games during spring and summer this year, used a nine-run third inning in the third match on Saturday to prevail 15-3. Despite being out-hit 5-10 on Sunday, they secured their spot in the highest league in Spain with a 7-4 victory in the decisive game four. Both teams had split the first two games of the best-of-five series in Sevilla back in November.
