The Cologne Cardinals announced a couple of days before the start of the season that right-handed pitcher Moritz Sckaer is not joining his former club after all. Due to professional and health related reasons the club and the player agreed to say no to the transfer from the Bonn Capitals to Cologne. It has not been decided if he continues his career or if he remains in Bonn.
