Dobkowski leaves Attnang-Puchheim Athletics, Payne new head coach for 2014

Posted on February 27, 2014February 27, 2014 by philipp

John Dobkowski had a tough job in year one, rebuilding the Athletics Attnang-Puchheim after Harald Pointner (3B), Johnny Kashuba (SS import) and Andre Gruber (C) left the team (personal reasons). Along with injuries to key players who carried the team through the championship years Walter Strasser (GM 1 Starting Pitcher), Martin Rabengruber (RF) and David Burns (1B) the A’s from Attnang were left with unexperienced youth players talking the field each week. Mark Payne will look to continue the rebuilding of the club this year. The A’s have confirmed that Scotty Mulhearn (SS import) will be back this year, as he himself looks to improve his stats from last year.
