The Solingen Alligators have announced that leadoff man Moritz Buttgereit isn’t retiring after all. The 29-year-old Berlin native batted .451/.563/.657 with 15 extra base hits, 45 runs scored and 28 RBI in 28 games for the Alligators last year. Together with Dominik Wulf he was on the verge of no longer playing following the German finals against the Buchbinder Legionaere due to personal reasons. But now Solingen was able to convince him to suit up for the 2014 season.
