The Tubingen Hawks announced their acquisitions for the 2014 season in the German Baseball-Bundesliga. The southern division club welcomes back Josh Hodges, Jack Smith and Clarence Brown. Brown is not only their leadoff man, but also will serve as head coach since Wes Blunt isn’t returning.

Additionally Mike Riemer, an outfielder and third baseman from Ellington, Connecticut will join the team. He and Brown also will pitch on game days where Hodges might not be available.

German pitching prospect Alper Ciftci has transferred to the Hawks. Lucas Helber and Hannes Stolz have been added to the roster from the youth team.

Meanwhile Deontate Hann and Sammy de los Santos have left besides Blunt. De los Santos is rumored to join the Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg according to the Hawks website.
