A pair of young Mannheim Tornados players are preparing for the new season in the German Baseball-Bundesliga in the Dominican Republic. Thanks to the help of the German Baseball Academy (DBA), Anton Helmig and Jonathan Ellenbogen have been in Boca Chica since December 2013 to train with DBA Coach Emilio De Los Santos. Last year Rufio Schulz and Luis Santa Cruz of the Untouchables Paderborn spent the offseason on Boca Chica. Daniel Czekalla, another German player who was in Austria the past two seasons and is rumored to join the Bad Homburg Hornets for the 2014 season, will join Helmig and Ellenbogen next week.
