CB Barcelona adds two, confirms Oscar Angulo

Posted on February 7, 2014 by philipp

CB Barcelona has announced a pair of signings and the confirmation of a third. Shortstop Oscar Angulo is coming back for a fifth consecutive season with CBB. The 30-year-old batted an impressive .477 with 18 extra base hits, 35 runs and 37 RBI in 32 games last year.

Additionally Barcelona has brought in a pair of young players. 21-year-old Alberto Ramon Novas (picture) comes back after a stint in the Dominican Republic, where he went to school and played baseball. He already was a part of the club in 2010, when he was a member of the junior team.

22-year-old infielder Julio Grullon has left local rival CB Viladecans after four years to join CBB. He led his former team with a batting average of .324 in 2013. He collected one home run, six doubles, 14 runs and 23 RBI in 32 games.
