Pau Sancho from Barcelona to Bonn Capitals

Posted on November 27, 2013November 27, 2013 by philipp

Infielder Pau Sancho is going to play for the German Baseball-Bundesliga club Bonn Capitals next year. The Catalonian Baseball and Softball Federation announced the transfer on their blog on Tuesday. The soon to be 26-year-old – he celebrates his birthday on Thursday – is coming from CB Barcelona. He was their second best hitter behind Oscar Angulo, batting .362 with 15 extra base hits, 38 runs scored and 31 RBI in 32 games. He already spent a week in Bonn in August and is scheduled to arrive in Germany on January 10 to kick off preparations for the 2014 season. He studied in San Diego and therefore speaks English fluently making a transition to the Capitals easy.
