The Italian Baseball and Softball Federation (FIBS) announced on Monday that Alessandro Vaglio of Unipol Bologna and Andrea Silvia Montanari of Fiorini Forli have been named Most Valuable Players of the Italian Baseball and Softball Leagues. Vaglio earned 50 percent of the public votes in an online voting. Alex Romero finished in second place with 26 percent. Montanari edged out Saskia Kosterink 41 to 36 percent in a tight race.
