Posted on November 26, 2008 by philipp

A few days after Manuel Gasparri parted ways with FORTITUDO, the catcher joined DANESI NETTUNO. The Italian vice champion welcomes the Grosseto native Gasparri back after two years in BOLOGNA. The 35-year-old batted .281 (OBP .356/SLG .449) with two homeruns, two triples, five doubles, ten runs scored and 20 RBIs in 27 games (22 starts) in 2008 for the regular season winner. In 2005 and 2006 he already played for DANESI, batting .281, respectively .287. Gasparri is quoted on the team website and he is happy to be back, looking forward to the 2009 season.
