Christian Klarer, Chris Byrne say farewell to Embrach Mustangs

After the game on Sunday, where the Embrach Mustangs lost to the old and new champions Bern Cardinals, Mustangs star player Christian Klarer announced that he would not play for the Mustangs next season and he will play once again with in 2014 with the Sissach Frogs in the NLB.

Chris Byrnes also announced his retirement from the Embrach baseball team. In 2008, Byrnes discovered baseball in Switzerland while watching a Zurich Barracudas versus Bern Cardinal game in Embrach in 2008. In 2009, Byrnes decided to join the local Embrach team with the dreams of developing the club into a NLA Championship caliber team. He had not played since his last University game which was in 1986. Byrnes led the Mustangs to four NLA playoff appearances in his five years.
