Today the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA will start. Europe and Africa region will be represented for the first time in history by the Czech team Southern Moravia Little League region. They have scheduled their first game on Friday at 5pm local time. And the opponent, one of the strongest teams in roster, team Musashi Fuchu LL from Tokyo, Japan.
Meanwhile, another Southern Moravian team is already playing their World Series tournament in Junior League category. Southern Moravia has already three games finished. Their debut was on Sunday August 11th, when they played against Calgary Rocky Mountain LL from Canada. And the first ever game of any Czech team at a World Series finished with success, they won 9-4. The second game in tournament they lost 1-6, although they were a very competitive opponent for the strong team from Chinese Taipei. Their last game against Jose M. Rodriguez LL from Puerto Rico they also lost 2-3. Another great game for the Southern Moravia team. The last game in the International group is scheduled for Thursday at 2:45pm locat time, and the opponent another strong team from Latin America. If the team wins the game, there is still chance to play in the World Series game, otherwise the team will play on Friday their last game for the final standings.
