Slovakia – Ireland 11-5
Slovakia celebrated its second win at the B-Level European Championship in Vienna, Austria defeating Ireland 11-5 on Friday. Jan Jablonka and Martin Bosy had three RBI apiece. Marek Bosansky issued six hits, five runs and two walks in five innings for the win. Brendan Hourihan got charged with his second loss this week, allowing seven hits, seven runs (6 ER) and eight walks in 4 2/3 innings.
Belarus – Russia 7-6
Belarus stunned Russia with a 7-6 win on Friday, but Russia still reaches the final at the B-Level Euros with a 4-1 record. Belarus rallied for two runs in the bottom of the ninth to win the game. An error helped them to tie the contest. Aliaksei Kachurka had the walk-off RBI single to plate the game-winner. Vadzim Rabushkin got the win in relief. Kiril Chermoshentsev took the loss.
Austria – Lithuania 3-2
Austria joined Russia in the final with a 3-2 win over Lithuania. Peter Ferak drove in two of the three runs including the eventual winning run in the fifth. Felix Zimmerle pitched a complete game, conceding seven hits, two runs and a walk in nine innings. He struck out eight. Aivaras Jacyna took the loss.
