T&A San Marino: Matthew Marrone (2-3, ERA 5.72, 39.1 IP, 27 SO, 12 BB) is no longer on the roster of the Italian Baseball League champion.
Danesi Nettuno: The search for a new manager is still on. Guglielmo Trinci appears to be a favorite among supporters from the club. However a return of Ruggero Bagialemani might be possible. They are interested in BOLOGNA’s Manuel Gasparri (.281/.356/.449, 10 R, 20 RBI). Nelson Cruz (5-3, ERA 2.25, 76 IP, 65 SO, 28 BB), Luis Ugueto (.289/.402/.337, 11 R, 9 RBI) and Andrea Castri’ (.217/.318/.365, 18 R, 16 RBI) are still not confirmed for 2009.
Fortitudo Bologna: The departure of Jesus Matos (7-2, ERA 1.84, 83 IP, 82 SO, 14 BB) is more or less official. As mentioned above, Gasparri apparently has an offer from NETTUNO. Richard Austin (.366/.475/.652, 43 R, 10 HR, 50 RBI) is expected to stay. Lino Connell (.328/.437/.432, 24 R, 19 RBI) and Ryner Bautista (.315/.355/.426, 43 R, 27 RBI) could leave the team.
Cariparma: They already added Johnny Carvajal (.329/.392/.582, 27 R, 9 HR, 22 RBI) and Laidel Chapelli to the 2009 roster. Claudio Biagini (.165/.281/.174, 7 R, 5 RBI) is leaving for the promoted REGGIO EMILIA. Pascual Matos (.241/.262/.367, 15 R, 25 RBI), Vicente Garcia (.180/.281/.220, 2 R, 4 RBI) and Josmir Romero (5-2, ERA 5.10, 54.2 IP, 38 SO, 20 BB) are not signed yet.
Telemarket Rimini: RIMINI is looking for a new manager. It is not clear if Juan Melo (.217/.292/.355, 19 R, 18 RBI) and Manny Alexander (.331/.399/.423, 30 R, 20 RBI) return in 2009.
Godo: Matthew Agostinelli (1-1, ERA 7.75, 33.2 IP, 22 SO, 17 BB) and Kyle Messineo (.233/.352/.325, 23 R, 13 RBI) could stay at GODO. David Skrehot (.235/.311/.318, 21 R, 22 RBI) is retiring this winter.
Reggio Emilia: Besides Claudio Biagini from PARMA, they also already have added Livinsto Santaniello from the second division club LIVORNO.
