Czech Team for European Junior Championship released

The Czech Baseball Association announced the roster for the European Junior Championship. The team, which is led by David Winkler will later this summer also participate in the XXVI IBAF 18U Baseball World Cup in Taichung.

In preparation for the European Championship in Prague, the Czech 18U squad already played in the Prague Baseball Week and in a couple of exhibition games afterwards (five wins, one loss against the EU International Stars, Sweden, Slovakia, Croatia and two US teams).

Prior to the tournament, which starts on July 14, they will square off with Old World Pastime and Sweden on July 11 and 12. At the European Championship the Czech Republic will face Belgium, Italy, Russia and Sweden in Group B during the first round.
