Results Spanish Division de Honor May 25&26

There is a new leader in town. The Tenerife Marlins moved into first place in the Spanish Division de Honor with a sweep over previous pole sitter CB Barcelona.

Game one on Sunday was decided by a bases loaded walk-off walk by Deion Galvan in the bottom of the tenth inning. Oscar Angulo and Yan-Carlo Franco had exchanged solo home runs in a thrilling ninth. Jose Luis Riera also went deep for the guests from Catalonia. Leslie Nacar went the distance for his fourth win of the year.

In the second match Tenerife overcame six Barcelona runs in the first two innings to prevail 15-9 in the slugfest. Lesther Galvan and Jose Manual Melendez connected for home runs and combined for six RBI. Angulo hit another long ball for CBB.

In the other matchups at the start of the second half of the regular season in Spain, CB Viladecans and CBS Sant Boi shared wins, as well as the Astros Valencia against Baseball Navarra and El Llano versus CD Pamplona.
