A clash between Unipol Bologna and T&A San Marino opened the new week in the Italian Baseball League on Friday evening. Fortitudo prevailed 5-2 after scoring three times in the bottom of the eighth to break a 2-2 tie. A fielding error by shortstop Seth La Ferra helped Bologna to plate the winning run. Claudio Liverziani and Chris Aguila scored twice. Raul Rivero struck out four in 3 1/3 innings of scoreless relief for the win. Michele Meschini took the loss. Tiago Da Silva allowed four hits, two runs and three walks in seven innings for the win. He struck out seven. Roger Luque gave up one hit and two walks in four scoreless innings. He punched out six.
