Results Austrian Baseball League May 4&5

Posted on May 6, 2013 by philipp

In the Austrian Baseball League six games were scheduled this weekend. On Saturday the Stock City Cubs stunned the Vienna Wanderers with a pair of 7-6 wins to open the 2013 season in style. One day later the Dornbirn Indians surprised the Athletics Attnang-Puchheim 2-0 and 7-2 for the sweep. Also the Vienna Metrostars and the Vienna-Neustadt Diving Ducks split.

Meanwhile the Austrian Baseball Federation reports on its website that last week’s second game win of the Diving Ducks over the Wanderers might be changed into a forfeit for the reigning champion. Apparently they used too many foreign players in the game without filing the correct exception papers.
